I used to play this game but quickly discovered that it is counterproductive. It is a waste of my time and my energy. Where you are today is as a result of your action or inaction at a particular point in your life. Get up, take charge and keep moving up.
Some weeks back, I listened to Brian Tracy’s Power of Clarity audio book and there I heard about using the Grand Slam Rule which is an essential part of his focal point coaching system. Slam is simply an acronym for simplify, leverage, accelerate and multiply. The “grand” before the slam is to lay emphasis on the effectiveness of this rule.
To simplify is to keep it short and simple (KISS). Learn to kiss every day and experience a turnaround in your life and business. Who doesn’t love a great kisser?
Leverage is to make use of the abundant resources around you. Use other people’s knowledge, time, money, skills, energy, etc., to get all your work done.
Accelerate is to work faster and with the same quality. To achieve more success, you have to move fast. Successful people always work faster.
The fourth word multiply basically is about how you grow. It is all about how you focus on the items of more value in your life.
Of a truth, the grand slam rule is a very effective rule in achieving great success. It recently occurred to me that prior to listening to this audio, I have been using this rule without me knowing it. I can vividly remember how I made quick cash in 7 days during my years as an undergraduate in the university without spending a dime.
I applied the grand slam rule instinctively without me realizing it then. Earning an additional #20,000 (about 120 USD at that time) to my monthly stipend within 7 days as a student, in my part of the world, considering the economic situation is a great feat. Especially when you attend a top rated federal university like mine where the academic rigor is enough to suck life out of you.
